Cinemark Holdings Inc. has named Melissa Thomas, Groupon Inc.’s chief monetary officer, as its new CFO, efficient Nov. 8.
She is going to succeed Sean Gamble, who was promoted to the position of president in July, and will probably be named chief govt officer on Jan. 1, 2022. Mr. Gamble will proceed to function the chief working officer as properly. Cinemark’s present CEO Mark Zoradi plans to retire on the finish of the yr.
Ms. Thomas will step down from her CFO position at Groupon on Nov. 4, in line with a U.S Securities and Change Fee submitting. She had served within the place since February 2020. She joined the e-commerce market firm in June 2017 because the vice chairman of business finance and climbed up the ranks. She has beforehand labored in senior finance roles at Surgical Care Associates and the web journey fare aggregator Orbitz.
Ms. Thomas will obtain a base annual wage of $575,000. She may also obtain a sign-on bonus of $500,000 and restricted inventory awards. She can be eligible for performance-tied bonuses and fairness awards.
Groupon has named its Senior Vice President of Finance Damien Schmitz as its interim CFO, efficient Nov. 5, in line with Groupon’s securities submitting. He’ll obtain an extra month-to-month stipend of $18,750 for every month that he serves in addition to some restricted inventory unit awards, in line with the submitting.
