GUWAHATI: Famend physicist Prof Dhiraj Bora handed away on Saturday.
He was the Vice-Chancellor of Assam Science & Expertise College. He did his education at Daly Faculty, Indore, and handed out in 1968.
Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had been amongst leaders who mourned the loss of life.
“I’m deeply saddened to know the premature loss of life of Dr. Dhiraj Bora, Vice-Chancellor of Assam Science and Expertise College, Guwahati. As an academician, he was par wonderful and contributed immensely to the expansion of upper and technical training in Assam,” the Governor tweeted.
Mukhi additional wrote: “His premature departure is a good loss to the state and nation. As a Chancellor, I’ll undoubtedly miss Dr. Dhiraj Bora and his prudent firm.”
The Chief Minister’s Workplace tweeted: “CM Dr @himantabiswa extends wealthy tributes to famend physicist and educator Prof Dhiraj Bora on his demise. He was VC, Assam Science & Expertise College, Guwahati & ex-Director, Institute of Plasma Analysis, Gujarat. He leaves behind a wealthy legacy in academia and training.”
The state’s Well being Minister Keshab Mahanta mentioned Bora’s contribution because the VC of Assam Science & Expertise College & former Director of the Institute of Plasma Analysis, Gujarat was monumental.
